Why and how did we launch Stique?

Kickstarting our journey

Stique began in 2014 when our founder Greg McDonald discovered a high-strength engineering polymer through his work in the injection moulding industry. He saw an opportunity to use it to create a tyre lever that was stronger and more durable than anything on the market.

Frustrated by how much space standard levers took up for a single-use tool, Greg set out to do more with less. He designed a compact bike multitool that integrated tyre levers with essential functions and the result was the Multilever. It launched successfully on Kickstarter, raising £15,000 and sparking the start of Stique.

Iteration & development

After a lot of customer feedback, the original Multilever has been adapted and refined. It’s now available in both metal-replacement plastic (ML125) and carbon fibre (ML125CF).

We’ve also added other products to the range, including simpler tyre levers made from the same materials (ML14 and ML14CF), and a hybrid of a saddle bag and mudguard, the SaddleGuard.

Expanding the range

Stique plans to grow its product range to cover all the cycling essentials. We’ll keep redesigning from the ground up, using the best materials available. There are a couple of exciting projects in the pipeline and we’re working hard to bring them to market soon.

Our Values

Curiosity

Our design philosophy is defined by curiosity; always questioning how things should be, not how they are.

Humility

Our job is simple: to support you and your ride with best-in-class cycling essentials. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sustainability

We're doing our bit to support the environment by creating quality products that are made to last.
